Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria (ICPA) is a professional organization of certified public accountants, established under the Independent Financial Audit Act, as a corporate body at independent maintenance with headquarters in Sofia. Members of the Institute are the registered auditors – natural and legal persons. Regional organizations within ICPA can be established with not less than 20 registered auditors – natural persons.
The objective of ICPA is to organize, manage and regulate the activity of its members and audit profession, in public interest, as an independent and self-regulating national professional institution.
The institute urges to contribute to the international acknowledgement and strengthening of the profession as well as the international recognition of certificates issued by ICPA.
Institute’s bodies are: General Assembly, Managing Board, Supervisory Council, Professional Ethics Council, Audit Services Quality Control Council, and Disciplinary Council.
